Semi annual sale roundups

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

This is a follow-up of the flyer deal post to update you with more details on the sales that are/ were going on.

When La Senza first announced their semi-annual sale mid last week, I went and found some great offers: 75% off, 50% off with additional 20% off, and just 50% off for bras, and 10 for $30 for undies. That was before the loyalty discount and $10 off $40 coupons.

Starting last Friday, the sale changed. Most of the "I Love Cotton" (reg. $19.50) are now $9.99, "Perfectly Me" (reg. $22.50 - $26.50) are $12.99, the "Hello Sugar" and "Beyond Cleavage" (reg. $42.50) are $19.99 each.

Also found my favorite The Lingeristas by La Senza Seamless Boyshorts in crazy neon colours with fun prints (reg. $8.50), now $4 or 10 for $30. Just a snapshot of the colours, and they are a lot brighter IRL. The colour names are super cool - Tipsy Lime/ Surfer Pink Explode Animals, Aqua Ice/ Hottie Pink Edith Dots, Hot Spot Botanical Flowers, etc.

Hope you find some great stuff with this sale (still going on). Styles and sizes vary among stores and online, as always.

For Bath & Body Works, I was hoping they echo the same sales in the US, and was a little disappointed that they didn't.

Selected Signature line scents were 50% off. I got Bali Mango, Rio Rumberry Glowing body scrubs from Spring release (reg. $14 each). There was no sign of Aruba Coconut. These were 75% off in the US, I heard.

The Forever Sunshine scent is being discontinued in stores, and was also 50% off. I didn't find the EDT, only got the Fine fragrance mist (reg. $14).

The best deal was 75% off on Select-a-Shimmer (Signature line) but I already stocked up on those a while ago.

Some fragrance mists with old packaging (reg. $12) were on clearance for $4 a piece, I grabbed Charmed Life and Paris Amour.

Selected candles were half price too (reg. $22.50). Squirt picked Bahama Fizz. I wanted to get some aroma therapy scents but they weren't part of this sale.

This sale is still on as well. Did you find/ get anything good?

Last find of the day was a surprise at Walmart. I walked by a little shelf with some pretty wedges, found these floral ones by g21. The style is called Porsha, $25.

The surprise was I didn't think Walmart carries such cute shoes, very trendy too (open toed, to add). And they are actually quite comfortable. And guess what, there was only one pair in my size left in the whole shelf, including other styles (solid colours - red or black). That's a sign right? I think so.

About other sales, I got some more bracelets off The Bay website during their 25% off F&F sale (only in the weekend) and some tights/ leggings with cute prints from the 10 for $10 sale at Claire's. Surprise, no makeup nor nail polish :) Come share your hauls with me.

NOTD: La Senza Berry Barbados

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Happy Monday... not :) How's everyone? Squirt and I had a nice time this weekend hanging out at the park on the beach. Yesterday was gorgeous, we went for some Cold Stone ice cream, then hung out on the waterfront. Met 2 cute Chihuahuas there, playing with them was the highlight of the afternoon.

This is what I wore in the weekend. I bought quite a few shades in the pink/ red family recently, gotta wear them while it's still summer.

The base colour is La Senza Berry Barbados, a hot fuchsia pink. This pic was taken with flash.

Berry Barbados is an awesome summer colour, opaque in one coat and doesn't make my olive skin tone look darker. All love, and nothing to hate. La Senza nail polish don't get enough raves, I tell you.

And the awesome shine on the nail is brought to you by the flakies in Nfu-Oh #50. You'll see them better in more pics below.

Here it is, in the glorious sun :) I was taking Squirt out for a spin on her new bunny bike. While she was pedalling around, I pulled out the camera and took some sun shots of her and my mani lol.

Remember I told you guys I don't wear pinks and reds very often. Count me converted, thanks to the "leap of faith" I made buying them out of the blue. I do like this colour combination.

Wish it could be sunny like this every day so my NOTD pics could be bright and clear. I'm very happy of how they turned out, as my camera isn't the best with lighting and macro stuff.
And learning from previous manis, I know flakies show up well in the shade, so here is a pic out of the sun. It looks almost like a mattified flakie look (which isn't a bad idea) but I didn't use a matte top coat with this. I love it a lot better in the shade than in the sun.

The flakies in #50 are blue (in a sheer lilac base). On the nails, they mostly look transparent or light blue, sometimes green or purple. I'm such a big fan of flakies. Surprisingly, I haven't done a flakie look on black or darker base colours lately. If only Nfu-Oh is more accessible and affordable, lol, so I can convert some of you into flakie fans.

Save the best for last, a close up, in the shade. Would it do it for you? I am so in love!

If any of you wonders why there isn't a weekend finds post today, I did get a few things at Shoppers, mostly skin care kits on clearance that I wanted to try out. Not much else to tell you about. If you have something in mind, take advantage of Shoppers' first time ever offer - a $10 off $50 coupon - this Wednesday.
Also, keep an eye on Sears clearance promos. They often offer extra 50% off (with Sears card) or 40% off (without Sears card) in the weekend. I went last weekend, got Squirts 4 pairs of shoes, some shirts and dresses for cheap. Also found a pair of coral wedges for myself for like CAD12.50. Was very happy with the loot.

Hope the new week treats you well! I'm trying hard to get by a Monday.

NOTD: La Senza Santorini Sunset

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Wowza, this is a bright one, almost neon. First shade I chose to swatch from the weekend find bunch 2 weekends ago, this is La Senza Santorini Sunset.

This first pic is closer to the colour IRL, taken without flash. The colour is vibrantly summer appropriate even when it is part of the spring release.

Only 2 coats, with Seche Vite on top. Not a one coater like previous few shades from La Senza I swatched, but still great. And quite glossy, isn't it?

In this second pic, the flash washed the colour out a bit, and it shows up more pink. But I would pay to get this colour as well, if it is true IRL :) I'm converting, I know, used to not like pinks at all.

About the name of this polish, I found out that Santorini is an island in Greece, was formed by remnants of a volcano explosion. It has a beautiful lagoon and cliffs, sound beautiful and dangerous at the same time :) Sunset at a place like that would be amazing to witness. The name suits the colour, doesn't it?

A quick note: my blogger buddy rasilla told me that La Senza nail polish is on sale on their website at the moment for CAD3.25 (reg. CAD6.50 or 2 for CAD10). Quite a deal, but shipping is only free with $40 purchase, so keep that in mind. I don't know if they will be offering the same deal in store as it looks like this is an online sale only.

Have a good one! If you see the sun, say hi for me. We had a beautiful warm sunny day yesterday (by warm I meant around 22 degrees, not burning hot - yet), but don't think we'll have it again today.

Weekend finds

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

My first serious shopping trip since I was back from the States was last the weekend. Some lucky finds, some hilarious finds. You'll see why :)

First stop was Shoppers on Saturday for their x20 points. I was planning to grab some Dermaglow on sale for 50% off (The promotion is on until June 17, so you still have time to check it out) but the items I wanted weren't part of the sale. A quick note that there is a secret x20 point even tomorrow (coupons are emailed and posted on their FB too, I think) if you missed the one on Saturday.

I was wandering around the clearance section (as always) and found some Quo palettes. Scored, I have been wanting to get them, just waited for a 40% off sale.

From Mother's Day collection:
- Beauty Bliss Colour Collection, 50% off from CAD50.
- Baked Beauty Box, reg. CAD35, on sale for CAD18.49 (around 47% off).

From the Spring collection:
- Spring Goddess palette in Athena, reg. CAD25, on sale for CAD15 (40% off).

Let me show you inside the palettes.

The Beauty Bliss Colour Collection has 35 eyeshadows (1.7gr each), 15 lip glosses (0.8gr each) and 6 blushes (7gr each).

A good range of colours for eyeshadows and glosses. The blushes are huge, the 2 shades on the left are more like bronzer, the next one is highlight and the rest are blush colours (pink and peach). It also has a big mirror on the inside of the lid.

Good value for the money, that's for sure. Feel free to click for larger view, if you need to see the shades.

The Baked Beauty Box has 6 eyeshadow trios (4gr each), 2 highlighters  - one single, one duo (3.5gr each), 2 blushes(3.5gr each) and 2 sponge applicators, plus a mirror. Don't know if you can tell but the products are in dome shapes, like most baked products are.

I think the baked palettes have always been the first to sell out every time Quo put out one. I didn't catch any of their baked palettes from all past releases until now. I'm happy (well, until the next palette, lol).

The Spring Goddess palette in Athena carries with 4 eyeshadows (1.7gr each) and a sponge applicator on the first tier, a blush (3gr), a lip gloss (2.2gr) and a tiny brush on the second tier (to pull out from underneath). Also comes with a good-sized mirror.

The Beauty Bliss still is the best value, but this box would be good for a short one-night trip type of things when you don't have to pack too much.

Kudos to Quo for having these awesome palettes, with mirror and gorgeous packaging. And I have no doubt of their quality either.

At Winners, I happened to find this Paula Dorf Perfect Double-ended Brush set for CAD29.99.

I remember JuicyTuesday raved about brushes from this brand. Seeing its regular retail price tag of $95 (i.e. I get almost 70% off), I bought it. This pic is what shown on the back of the box.

The dual ended brushes that come in the set (all synthetic, 100% cruelty free):
- Groomer and Brow
- Liner and Smudge
- Sheer crease and Eye shadow
- Foundation and Total Camouflage
- Powder and Cheek.

If you had tried these brushes before, please let me know what you think.

Also found a Color Club ArtClub Nail Art glitter set, CAD12.99. I think I saw these before at Winners but went for the nail polish instead. Are they any good?
The colours are glittery black, gold, turquoise, purple, blue, red and silver, and a sealer. Don't know if this would inspire me to start learning nail art.

First time to find the Color Club Alter Ego Keep It under Cover set, CAD12.99. I have been wanting Alias, was glad to find it. Other colours in the set: Alter Ego, Secret Agent, Total Mystery, Ulterior Motive, Masquerading and the Vivid top coat. Dark colours, so me huh?

I had to stop by La Senza to use my surprise gift card (got for free with $10 purchase about a month ago). It could value up to $500 but of course I only got $10 lol, spent it on some nail polish, CAD6.50 each or 2 for CAD10.

First row, from L-R: Polynesian Purple and Ho Chi Mint

Second row: Santiago Chile, Berry Barbados, Santorini Sunset and Parisian Pink.

I don't normally like pink/ red nail polish, guess I was longing for summer with bright/ neon shades on my nails. These colours are quite brighter IRL. We'll see how well they show up on me.

All shades are new this spring except for Santiago Chile and Parisian Pink which are from the core line. Don't know the spring shades are LE or permanent though.

Old Navy is having extra 50% off on adult clearance stuff (kids stuff was only extra 30% off), so I grabbed a coupon ($10 off $50) and went shopping :)

Did find some cool dresses and tops for me and Squirt for cheap, but they aren't anything special to show. I gotta tell you about these 2 pairs of boots though.

They were the last ones of their kinds, and only in 1 size - my size.

Guess how much they were? There was no price tags on them, so I asked the girl to check. She went back smiling at me.

And she said CAD1.49 a pair, that's before 50% off, lol. That was my lucky day! The boots aren't anything fancy, but now I don't have to feel bad if the snow and salt on the road ruin them. Until next fall/ winter that is :)

Claire's is having 10 for $10 sale again over the weekend. I don't know how long it lasts, so call your store first if you plan a purchase. Didn't see any new nail polish on clearance other than the Venomous Villain dupes, but I got a bunch of rings and hair accessories.

We didn't have a long weekend like you guys in the States did, but hope you all have a good weekend. We have the first sunny day here today, right for the morning. We were waiting for the bus in the sun, it was so relaxing :)

Weekend haul

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

The weekend has come and gone. I for once was not sucked in much with Good Friday sales. Shocking, isn't it? I only have a small haul for you for my regular stores, was tempting 2 online orders but I got into a "mommy tantrum" mode last night and didn't bother.

I headed to 2 locations of The Body Shop after work on Friday but all their Joy bags were sold out. Lucky for those of you who got a chance to grab a bag or two, I heard it was full of googies.

I did make my La Senza purchase for a trio of nail polish: Very Versailles, Hollywood Strip and Fuji Fantasy. Don't you love the names?

I grabbed Fuji Fantasy because it's a seasonal shade. Very Versailles is a pretty magenta creme, and Hollywood Strip has a pretty subtle magenta sheen which I hope shows up on the nails. We'll see if it does.

La Senza also came out with the roller tubes, some with sweet scents, some with their traditional fragrance scents. I only liked one scent among them (Coconut), so I passed.

As you probably know, Shoppers has the surprise gift card promo in the weekend. I was so sure I wouldn't need enough stuff to make it to $75, but... lol you know what happened right? :)

This is what I originally came in for: the L'Oreal Infallible Stars collection display. I spotted it a few days back but didn't like the CAD14.49 price tag on it. I was so excited seeing the weekend promo of 40% off L'Oreal, so I made sure I came back for it.

The display was still untouched when I got there, all 6 shades, and the liners. With the sale, the glosses came out a bit over CAD8 each. A steal eh? On the very left is Beyonce's Red, the most exciting shade among them. I grabbed one after taking this pic.

One of the reasons I love my Shoppers location: the clearance table :) They put cleared out stuff on a table, not at the end cap near the cosmetic section. A lot easier to tempt you, I'd say, lol.

I found these last weekend:
- CoverFX Redness kit CAD29.99 (reg. CAD45). It was still on regular CoverFX shelf but the sale sign caught my eyes. Can't say no to CoverFX.
- Smashbox O-Glow CAD10 (reg. CAD34)
- Quo Sahara shadows in Jewel of the Nile and Desert Mirage, 75% off, reg. CAD15 each.
- L'Oreal Infallible in Beyonce's Red - This was in the display above, I just threw it in the pic.

And there was more :) A few Gosh items were cleared out as well.
- Eyeshadow quartet in Vanity Pastels, reg CAD20. This will come in handy in the spring when pastel trend returns.
- Body Shimmer in Cinderella, reg. CAD20. I know I don't need it but the puff was so cute and fluffy, and I was sold on the name too
- Effect Powder in Doll and Lime, reg. CAD14 each. I have a bad habit of collecting these whenever I found them at clearance. They are eye candy to me :)

I heard sales are even crazier for Cyber Monday in the States. What are you planning to get today? Or what did you get in the weekend? I'd love to hear.

NOTD: La Senza Moscow Nights

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I couldn't wait any longer to show you the second shade I got from La Senza. And I can tell you right now that it is also a winner, just like its friend - Make Mine Milan!

This is Moscow Nights, a gorgeous shimmery purple shade. I haven't been to Moscow, can't say I know what it looks like at night there, but this colour is very pretty :) The purple is deep, but not anywhere near black. The shimmers shine through.

And what makes it a winner, above all that, is that it is also a one coater. ONE coat! When Make Mine Milan! wowed me being opaque after one coat, I kinda told myself to keep my hope down, just in case it was an extreme among the bunch. But no, Moscow Nights is just as good.

La Senza, I don't know what you did when formulating these babies, but keep at it, as you are doing very well. Love you! :)

Is it ridiculous to write love letters to brands I love? This is not the first time I did that, and they both happen to be Canadian brands. In the world of beauty, it's ok to have multiple lovers, I think, lol.

Anyway, back to Moscow Nights. It is so worth the price tag (3 for CAD15 or CAD4.50 if you have a Prestige card). I did wish the bottle were a little bigger (you can see the size comparison in the Make Mine Milan! post) when I bought them, but if they are all one coaters, I wouldn't be able to finish them for a long time, so it's all good :)

Did I happen to persuade you to go grab some of these Ooh La Nails polishes after the first post? Or do I after this post? Do tell :)

NOTD: La Senza Make Mine Milan!

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I just booked the flights for Squirt and I going to Toronto for Christmas. I love the concept of the holiday but travelling during this time is just so darn expensive. Hoping for a get-together with the TBB (Toronto Beauty Bloggers), eating/ shopping of some sort to make up for the $. I need therapy!

On to the purpose of this post, lol. I was so eager to try out the La Senza Ooh La Nails polishes I got in the weekend, so I picked one for a NOTD this work week: La Senza Make Mine Milan!.

Do you want to guess what the verdict is on this brand spanking new nail polish that La Senza launched a few weeks back? It is AWESOME SAUCE :)

I was kinda nervous with the first stroke. What if it sucked? But it took my breath away. This is ONE coat, people, and it applied so smooth, no streaking, no pulling. It is butter on the nails.

And the wear was good - lasted me 2 days. I'm hard on my hands, and not many polishes pass that 2 day mark, so I'm happy.

And did I say I love the colour? A dark army green that stays pretty true to the bottle colour. It is a creme finish but not flat, has a bit of a shine. Can't say I have anything like it in the stash.

I think it is one of the most stand out shades in the bunch of 15 or so colours La Senza has. There are quite a few pink/ red ones that I didn't really care for.

The brush is a bit small which takes some practice to get the hang of it, but the same 3-stroke technique works just fine. It is stiff enough to do the job, so I can manage a neat mani without having to clean up my cuticles.

And a bottle size comparison for those of you who asked. Ooh La Nails bottles are certainly smaller than Claire's Mood and Joe Fresh's.

I like the cap, easy to hold, but look at the thick glass at the bottom of the bottle. Urghhh!
For a size like this and retail price of CAD6.50 (or 3 for CAD15), I'd expect other shades to be just as great as Make Mine Milan! to win my heart. We shall see :)

I will get to the other 2 colours soon, so you can see the swatches before deciding to head out for a purchase. But this first shade is a winner in my book already, just to put it out there, lol.

Don't forget to enter the Apothica giveaway. Cheers!

Weekend haul

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I was sick at home yesterday, was not productive at all, as you can guess. Today is IMATS Toronto which I couldn't go, so I went to the mall (20% off sale) to make up for it. I was sad, so damage was done badly.

First stop: Sirens. They were doing 30% off the entire store or 50% off if you have their loyalty card (which I do).

I used to think Sirens was more for teenagers and often overlooked their stuff. Then I found their sales were pretty good, and went there more often. Today's sale was one of those cases.

The halter bra top on the left is quite sparkly, with zebra-like print and lace along the waist line in the front, I paid CAD8.75 for it.

The corset on the right also has a built-in bra which I'm a fan of, CAD9.75.

A pair of glossy animal-print leggings, CAD5.25, and a sequin eternity scarf, CAD6.25.

I would prefer a longer form of eternity scarf, but this scarf is quite wide, which probably made up for the length :)

I was probably in a holiday mood, as I realized I got quite a few sparkly things, just from this one store. Was quite close to get another pea coat jacket, but I still have 2 I got from Old Navy.

They had some LA Colors nail polish and eyeshadow palettes, but even with the sale, it wasn't worth it, as they are found at Dollar Tree in the States (i.e. they are $1).

The Fairweather store is closing down, I was hoping for more discount but they only did 20% on top of the discounted price. I noticed the "motorcycle-styled" jacket on the way out and couldn't pass it up.

The jacket also came in black but I don't have anything in this colour, so I was drawn to it. 2 zippers in the front, under the fold, and 2 on the side, and the stripe pattern on the shoulder. There were only 2 of them left in the store, and 1 was my size. It came home with me, CAD23.99 later.

It's probably a good idea for those of you who live around here to keep an eye on this store, in case they bring the price down even more. We haven't had a closing-down sale for quite a while now, have we?

On to the more exciting stuff - nail polish :)

The Ardene store at the mall always has their nail polish 2 for CAD6 (reg. CAD3.50 each) but I always forget to check it out. For those who don't know, Ardene is similar to Claire's, but I think it's only in Canada.

Today, with the sale, thought it was a good time to haul. I saw 2 different bottle shapes of the nail polish but can't tell whether they are changing the packaging or have 2 lines together.

From L-R: Navy Girl, Rockin Purple, Emerald Green and Heavy Metal. Not many shades to choose from, but I think I did an ok job picking these out from the bunch.

And here are the new La Senza Ooh La Nails finally. Again, La Senza is the Canadian version of Victoria's Secret.

There are 15 shades available (mostly cream), retail 3 for CAD15 (reg. CAD6.50 each). I picked, from L-R: Moscow Nights, Big Ben Baby! and Make Mine Milan!. The bottles are quite small (6.7g/ .23oz). Can't wait to test them out.

I also get myself some awesome push-up bras (2 for CAD36.50, which came with a free cotton panty) but didn't think I need to take pics of them lol.
Last stop, Lawtons. Surprisingly, I didn't go crazy there.

They just had Vasanti in stores, so I got the Eye Wonder Triple Action Eye Treatment cream, reg. CAD42.

Heard good things about it but Vasanti doesn't go on sale at Shoppers ever, so I thought I would grab it here with 20% off.

Wanted to get a EcoTools foundation brush but it was sold out, so I just grabbed this lonely Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City on clearance to accompany my Eye Wonder :)

Ok, that's my haul. Now I brace myself for the IMATS haul posts that will start popping up on my google reader very soon. Have a great weekend everyone!

Weekend finds

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I have planned a few posts on Friday but didn't end up finishing them, so they are not up until today and tomorrow. Saturdays are normally "running around" days for me, so I don't get online that much, and therefore Sunday nights would be my posting time, often enough.

This pass Saturday was my bf's birthday, so we spent time shopping for some new clothes for him. As you probably heard, Old Navy has been doing 50% off all men's stuff in store (exclude clearance items)until Sunday, so we had to get some shopping in before too late. I have to say, Old Navy has some good basic stuff, good price (especially when they have sales on), not mentioning a few good coupon if you are lucky enough to score them on Old Navy Weekly. As I mentioned in my Old Navy haul post, the coupons are offered on first come first serve basis, and they are normallly reset on Thursday nights. If you have some free time and enough patience, you might find a coupon as good as "$75 off a $100 purchase". Amazing huh? My first coupon was $10 off a $50 purchase, and the one I used on Saturday was 25% off $50 purchase or more. Not bad. As it was all my bf's clothes, I wouldn't take pictures of the haul here :-)

We spent the night having Dairy Queen's blizzards (our favorite dessert) and watching "Drag me to hell". Don't ask me why I am into horror movies. I wasn't before I met my bf, but now I could basically go see any horror movies with him, if he wants to see it. But honestly, "Drag me to hell" was the kind of movie that makes it hard to sleep at night, so consider yourself warned :-) It wasn't a bad movie, I was just surprised how it ended. Don't want to spoil the movie for you, if you haven't seen it, so I'm just saying it is quite a good one to see, if you like horror movies. The music and sounds were a bit loud at times, I had to cover my ears here and there.

Sunday shopping, how I hate the hours. 12 to 5, that was it. That wasn't enough for me to browse around the mall and take my times to look at and try things out. We hit Old Navy at Micmac, as there were a few things we could find the right size at the first Old Navy, and we were in deed happy to find them today.

The Disney Store is one of our favorite stores to visit at Micmac. The stuff there is overpriced, obviously, because of the brand name, but they are decent when on sale. I got a pair of princess PJ for CAD10, a Ariel swimsuit CAD13, a Minnie Mouse costume with tutu CAD25, and a Daisy hat CAD5. The last 2 items were extra 25% off. It's the best time to shop when they have extra 50% off on top of discounted items. I just don't know whether the stuff I wanted will be there when they finally have extra 50% off, so I hauled. Also at Toys R Us, I got a few toys on sale for Squirt - a King Arthur lego (70% off) and some Bling Domino and Bling Bingo - sparkly and pink - just right for Squirt - for half price. Squirt left the stores very happy.

The Body Shop has "up to 50% off" sale going on for their Winter/Spring lines. I bought 2 Warm Amber body scrub and a Cranberry body shimmer. And I have my reasons - not that a girl needs reasons to shop, but these are like the must haves. First, Warm Amber and Cranberry are the LE winter lines that are no longer available in store (except when they have sales like this). Second, they are the only items that were actually at 50% off - as you can see from the stickers. I was interested in the Roseflower shadows and Roseflower blushes, but they were only 30% off, still quite out of my range/budget. After "Love My Body" 10% discount, it came out CAD26 which earned me one point. I have 3 points after this purchase, so my next purchase would qualify for CAD15 off.

For some of you who are not familiar with TBS's membership program: Basically you pay CAD10 for a "Love Your Body" card that offers 10% off all purchases for a year. You earns 1 point for every CAD25 spent. You get a CAD10 credit if you shop in the month of your birthday, and could get 20% off on the Love Your Body days. When you earn 4 points, you'll get a CAD15 gift, and at 8 points, you get CAD25 gift and free membership renewal for the next year. Note: I am not advertising for TBS, I am just sharing the info about the store so you can save some money if you are interested in their products.

EDIT: I just found out that the whole Warm Amber and Cranberry is on for CAD5 each on TBS's website, so I'll be returning this haul to the store. The site charges CAD5 shipping each order, but considering the items are half what I paid at the store, it's still a better deal than getting them from the store.

My last stop in Micmac was actually a very good one - La Senza, a Canadian lingerie store. Don't worry, this is not a rated R post :-) They are having semi annual sale on undies and bras, but I wasn't interested. I was there for their body products. Since La Senza was bought by Victoria's Secrets a few years back, they started carrying Victoria's Secret Secret Garden and Beauty Rush body products, no makeup though :-( In Toronto, La Senza has come out with their own body products that are similar to VS's, but in Halifax, the stores don't get them yet. I actually prefer the packaging of VS's lines better (haven't tried La Senza body producs, so I can't comment on the quality). Last week, I passed by a La Senza at the mall and saw a little shelf of Secret Gardens at 10 for $20 (normally 4 for $20). There were only 2 scents though (Endless Love and Pear Glace), and I didn't want to get 2-3 of the same items to make 10 in total, so I didn't get anything. The La Senza today I went in is the largest one of all, as it has everything, including the new Beauty Rush summer LE Pool Party items (on for 2 for CAD20). And the shelf has lots of scents at 10 for $20, so I got Endless Love (body butter, mist, wash and lotion), Pure Seduction (body butter and lotion), Love Spell (body butters) and the never-before-seen Tease Sweet Sugar (body mists).

Simiar to TBS's Love Your Body, La Senza has the Prestige card (CAD20) that saves you 10% off every purchase for a year. Came with the card was a coupon book (save $5/10/20 with $25/50/100 purchase, $5 off card renewal for the next year, etc.). I always have my card with them, as I'm a frequent there, especially on Boxing Day when the sales are too good to pass.

Hope you all have a good weekend. I'm so not ready for getting back to work tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.
