Revlon Ultra HD matte lip colours

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Revlon Ultra HD matte lip colours have been out for a while now. Since I reviewed Devotion and Flirtation on the blog (follow the link above), I have bought a few more.

There are 8 new shades added to the line recently (in a separate floor display for now), and I bought 3 - Kisses, Romance and Intensity.

The formula, texture/ finish and scent are consistent with current shades. If you need a brief overview: they are semi matte and do not dry down completely, most require more than one coat for full coverage but do not feel heavy, even with layering. The fruity scent is noticeable out of the tube but disperses quickly once on.

Among the 3 shades, Kisses is the most wearable, just a tad darker than Devotion, while Romance and Intensity are bold and bright which I save for weekends only.

I do enjoy the formula but will appreciate if the brand decides on a transfer resistant finish or lighter scent. The tubes are 0.2oz/ 5.9ml, $9.96 each.

Revlon Ultra HD matte lip colours

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

It happens that I have bought quite a few matte items in the last little while, thought I should do a matte themed week on the blog.

Starting it up are Revlon Ultra HD matte lip colours in Devotion and Flirtation, claim to have a wax-free gel formula, with a lightweight and velvety matte finish.

First to note: they appear semi matte with a thin coat and do not dry completely. Layering will add shine to the colours, which appears to be hard to avoid because they do not have good coverage.

Secondly, they do not perform well on their own. They on sit on my lips no matter how much or little product I use. If it is because of the lip balm I use, this would be the first case ever. I cannot get an even and opaque application with either shade unless I prep my lips with a lip liner beforehand.

The packaging is awesome though - rounded oval frosted matte tube, with a silver cap and a tapered sponge tip. The fruity vanilla scent is fun too, not overwhelming.

I get decent wear out of these, but since they do not dry completely (like a gloss), they do transfer.

The swatches are taken with natural light and flash to show you the lack of shimmers but the existence of shine also. Devotion (left) and Flirtation (right) are both easy to wear.

First case of satin finish being advertised as matte in the product name :)

The tubes are 0.2oz/ 5.9ml, $9.96 each. There are darker colours in the range of 8 shades available. If you can make these work without a lip liner, I would love to hear.

NOTD: Revlon Chocolate Truffle

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Here is the famous Revlon Parfumerie in Chocolate Truffle! It is not famous because of the colour, as I don't normally enjoy brown nail polish, but because of its availability.

If you remember my Canada vs. US post, Chocolate Truffle is the only shade that Canada did not get in the Parfumerie collection. I had to resort to my US friend for it recently.

So finally I have it on my greedy hands. I did one thick coat here, which looked fine in normal daylight but showed some uneven spots under flash. I would do two coats next time.

As expected, the colour, though it stays true to the name, does not wow me nor my skin tone very much. What wows me is the scent.

I don't know if I said it enough, but most scents from the Parfumerie collection are quite fun and pleasant. Chocolate Truffle does end up smelling like a chocolate treat, even from underneath a top coat. Gentle and does not fade too quickly either.

A quick post today, as I am still dealing with muscle pains from shoveling packed frozen snow last night. Never procrastinate shoveling on a -20 degree day, as the work would triple when everything turns rock hard, I tell you :)

NOTD: Revlon Moonlit Woods

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I am (kinda) back :) A week of whirlwinds of emotions settled me on the couch almost every night. I do have lots of blog about but couldn't bring myself around to take pictures, etc.

So here we are starting the week light with a NOTD. This beautiful blue-based lilac shade is Revlon Parfumerie in Moonlit Woods.

Intended to do just a sheer base, I only did one coat of Moonlit Woods, and it was perfect. Can't say that it smelled like the woods but was still fun anyway.

I am grateful for scented nail polish, just like glitters and textures, as they bring something new and refreshing when I am tired of creams. Not that there's anything wrong with creams, as some creams are just equally fantastic, but when I am down, I tend to go that extra mile to layer.

That extra star for this mani was Quo by Orly Mind, with a sheer pink tinted base that houses chunky pink glitters and micro teal glitters. It did alter the colour of Moonlit Woods a little, leaning more pink than lilac, and the glitters are toned down with that base, both of which I didn't have a problem with.

Here is Quo by Orly Mind in the bottle, if you are curious about it. I am so glad that Quo did not take the curled glitter direction, as the chunky glitters in Mind are flat.

I can't deal with curled glitters that one time I had them on my nails. I either constantly tried to flatten them or peel them off. No offense to those who like them, it's just not my cup of tea.

Anyway, this has been one of the most subtle manis I have done on the blog, not very me but I did wear it for a few days :)

Hope everyone has a good start of the week!

NOTD: Revlon Apricot Nectar

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

You guys know I am a fan of Revlon Parfumerie line, not just for the colours.

The scents in most cases are fun and quite addicting. More subtle than a scent on the body, a scent from your finger nails gives you that surprise whiff quickly, then it's gone. Then it comes back a little later :)

My favorite from the line remains Balsam Fir but Apricot Nectar has come quite close. Unlike Balsam Fir, Apricot Nectar arrived a little late (from the second release of the line in Canada). I almost missed it.

Besides the very spring/ summer appropriate shade of light coral, Apricot Nectar smells like a creamsicle. Not overpowering but just enough to make you crave that cold treat in the fridge all day long lol.

This is two coats. Nice and shiny cream finish. Normally with a cream, I would add extra blings but I managed not too with Apricot Nectar. The colour is interesting enough, and I don't have that many coral shades that do not lean toward orange too much.

The colour looks a little more subtle and sheer in the bottle, dreamy in its own way. Once again, Parfumerie line did not disappoint! It is a shame it does not stick around very long.

Do you like the idea of scented nail polish? What are your favorites from the line?

Canada Day is coming up, do you guys make plans yet? Most my coworkers take Monday off, making it an extra long weekend. I am just hanging around town with all the festive activities. Just hoping for nice weather really.

NOTD: Revlon Leather & Pebbled

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Walmart has brought out a collective Revlon display of 2 LE texture collections. Same situation as with Revlon Parfumerie, we are missing out some shades.

The Leather and Tweet collection only has 2 textures (Motorcycle Jacket and Downtown) and 2 bar glitters (Martini Lunch and Uptown) vs. 4 each in the US.

Here I am wearing Leather Skinnies I got from a US friend. Don't think I have a grey texture before.

The Pebbled collection in Canada (Haute Rocks in the US) offers 6 multi coloured, multi shaped glitters - Brazilian Beach, Moroccan Oasis (worn on my accent nail here), Tahitian Coast, Seychelles Sand, Lana'l Lagoon and Mayan Riviera , if my memory serves me right :)  The 2 missing shades are Balinese Bay and Caribbean Cove.

Leather Skinnies is opaque in 1 coat, hardly feels gritty on my nails, even after a second coat I tested. Revlon Leather is ideal for those who have not tried textures before as their interpretation of textured polish is a subtle one.

Moroccan Oasis has quite a unique glitter colour combo, is easy to apply. 2 coats by itself still show a bit of VNL.

Check out the closeup, taken outdoor, first in the shade, then in the full sun. You can see the texture quite well here.

What do you think of Leather and Pebbled? Have you checked them out yet?

FOTD: Revlon & Jane

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I am late with the post today, blame my busy life and many distractions this week. Tonight, many of my blogger friends in Toronto are at one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year. I wanted to have fun too but for now, this FOTD will have to do :)

I used all the Jane eye makeup products I reviewed yesterday in this look - Earth and Jasmin eyeshadows on top of Vasanti All Star 2-in-1 face and eye primer, and Rose Gold water resistant eyeliner in the waterline, paired with Milani Liquid Eye Liquid-like eyeliner pencil in Black.

On the lips is Revlon LE Super Lustrous lipstick in Sultry Samba, layered up for pigmentation. The colour is fabulous, I just wish it were full coverage. If you have natural pink lips, Sultry Samba would look 10 times better on you!

Other products used:
- Make Up For Ever HD Micro-perfecting primer #2
- tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage balancing foundation SPF15 in Tan
A fun foundation but again, not full coverage (despite the name lol)
- It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eyes full coverage concealer in Neutral Medium
- ColorEvolution mineral blush in Desert Dusk
- CoverFx Setting Fx translucent mineral powder
- Marcelle Xtension Plus + Pro Lash Growth Complex mascara in Black
My lashes haven't been behaving lately, have to count on the extra help here
- Wet n Wild ColorIcon brow & eye liner in Dark Brown
Almost use it all up :)

Summer means mowing the lawn (buying my first lawn mower this week), taking care of the pool and backyard, and all things outdoor all by myself. Is there a guidebook somewhere for me guys? Don't think so, but if I am lagging again on here, I hope you understand.

Revlon LE Super Lustrous lipsticks

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

It has been a while since I reached for Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks, purely due to the size of the stash, not quality :)

I have recently acquired 2 LE shades via a US CP, fearing Canada won't get a chance to see them:
- Sultry Samba from the Rio Rush collection and
- Snow Peach from the Legacy collection, the shade from 1956.

Good news: Rio Rush collection has arrived at Shoppers with 3 of 4 shades of lipsticks available, including Sultry Samba.

No sign of Legacy collection at this point.

Here they are, Sultry Samba on the left and Snow Peach on the right.

I picked the brightest shades of course. Separately, they both look red. Next to each other, Sultry Samba shows a lot more blue and a semi matte texture, while Snow Peach looks coral red and shiny.

Pigmentation wise, Sultry Samba is not a full coverage lipstick, takes a few swipes to get to the level in the swatches below and leans toward fuchsia on. It is semi matte but comfortable to wear, not drying. I find it pair up well with Annabelle Hot Pink lip liner.

Snow Peach is slightly better, not as hard to build up, and the shade is more universal, I think. I am happy to have a piece of Revlon lipstick history to add to the summer lipstick rotation, but it is not a must have.

Swatches:

Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks are around $6.99 in the US (I got them for 40% off at Ulta), $9.99 at Shoppers. Here is the FOTD with Sultry Samba :)

NOTD: Revlon Balsam Fir

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

It might be a little extreme to call something a "favourite of all time", but I am gonna do it today, because it is a fact.

This is my favourite scented polish of all time - Revlon Balsam Fir from the Parfumerie line, on many levels!

The colour is a beautiful and deep forest green, pretty unique in my stash. It is also a one coater!

The scent is that delicious fragrance of the evergreen! I always have a soft spot for scented polishes, and one with my favorite scent is just "toxic" to me, I could wear it all year round.

Mind you, the scent is not overwhelming (nor artificial), even with a top coat, and slowly fades with time, which in this case is a bad thing for me lol. I want Balsam Fir scent to last forever, bringing my hand to my nose like every 5 minutes while I wear it.

Now if you remember my Revlon Parfumerie Canada vs US post, the line is permanent in the US but LE in Canada. I am sorry if you missed out on the line, or on this particular shade. Add Balsam Fir to your US shopping list if you are not sensitive to scents. And if you own it, try it now!

The random glitter accent is Finger Paints Crystal Springs from the Pastel Rain collection this Spring. When I saw the display at Sally, I thought the shades were pretty but only reached for the glitters and passed on the cremes. Typical me huh?

Good news: new shades of Parfumerie are coming out in Canada as we speak to complete the range. We are still one shade short from the line in the US, but who's counting right? :) For details, please check the post I linked above, as I have added some update near the end.

Have a great day, and enjoy the sunshine out there. It was still chilly early morning but I am just glad to see the sun, a rare occasion it is this year.

NOTD: Revlon Italian Leather

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

After Wild Violets, here is another Revlon shade from the (scented) Parfumerie line - Italian Leather, this time courtesy of the Revlon Select program.

Before you asked, this particular shade did not smell like leather lol, more like a sweet candy type of scent. I was surprised Revlon didn't pull off the scent of this one.

I did two coats of Italian Leather here but you can get away with one if you have enough polish on the brush :). The gold sheen on it is a little too subtle to be visible most of the time, which is a shame, but the base colour is cool enough to make up for it.

If you are wondering about the extra (green) shimmers on the ring finger, they are from Cult Nails Two Timer, one of the layering top coats from the Deceptive collection in 2012.

I know Two Timer's sheen is not the same as that of Italian Leather but I wanted to see if I can intensify the glow of Italian Leather a bit more. I only did one coat of it but think two would work better for the purpose.

Wear wise, it's not the polish's fault but I only had more than a day with it, because of all the shovelling I had to do after the snow storm. Well, I can always wear it again some time in the future.

Here is the mani up close to show you more of the green in Two Timer.

Update on availability of the Parfumerie line after my Canada vs. US post: Revlon confirmed that there will be more Limited Edition shades of Parfumerie coming in 2014. Now we can hope to match all shades the US has, and more :)

It is not a surprise that Parfumerie has been chosen as the best 2013 drugstore nail polish collection on a few big beauty blogs. It is fun and exciting! What shades have you tried from the line that you love?

NOTD: Revlon Wild Violets

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

I am back today with a Revlon shade from the (scented) Parfumerie line called Wild Violets, which I hauled shortly before I went on vacation.

If you missed my post about the line availability in Canada vs. US, follow the link to get all the details. Just don't want you guys to miss out.

This is 2 coats. Wild Violets still has the purple sheen in certain lighting but is quite close to black with a quick glance. I added some gold stripes on top for some contrast.

The little nob as a handle is a little small to get a good grip of, takes a bit of practice there. And the brush is standard. Wear wise, I got over 2 days out of this mani.

In darker lighting, the purple tone shows up a little better but like I said, it looks near black most of the time.

The scent is pretty cool, floral obviously, and noticeable within a few hours after application. It is very faint the next day. I don't find it overwhelming, but again, scents are personal, so sniff test it if you are going to get any Parfumerie shade.

All in all, I am liking Wild Violets. The colour is not particularly special but I enjoy the scent and the classy bottle shape.

Revlon Parfumerie Canada vs. US

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

So I went and bought 2 shades of Revlon Parfumerie nail polish last night - Powder Puff and Autumn Spice :)

This line came out in the US first. After the first batch of 16 shades, another 3 followed (noted with *) and 5 are coming soon (noted with **). 24 shades in total eventually, all permanent, divided into 3 scent groups:

- Fruits & Florals: African Tea Rose, Apricot Nectar, China Flower, Ginger Melon*, Lime Basil*, Orange Blossom**, Pink Pineapple and Wild Violets

- Sweets & Spices: Autumn Spice, Balsam Fir**, Bordeaux, Chocolate Truffle*, Espresso**, Italian Leather, Moonlit Woods and Spun Sugar

- Freshes: Beachy, Fresh Linen, Lavender Soap, Powder Puff**, Sunlit Grass, Surf Spray, Tropical Rain** and Wintermint.

In Canada, there are only 16 shades in total, and they are all LIMITED EDITION, as noted on the display. I will update with links to NOTDs as soon as I do them.

First tier, from L-R: Fresh Linen, Powder Puff, African Tea Rose, Ginger Melon, China Flower, Bordeaux, Autumn Spice, Beachy, Spun Sugar and Italian Leather.

Second tier: Moonlit Woods, Surf Spray, Wintermint, Balsam Fir, Wild Violet and Espresso.

So we miss out on 8 shades - Apricot Nectar, Chocolate Truffle, Lavender Soap, Lime Basil, Orange Blossoms, Pink Pineapple, Sunlit Grass and Tropical Rain.

There are only 2 bottles of each shade on the display (pic was taken by Makemeoverande, used with permission), so if you are Canadian, you'd better get to it before they disappear!

Update (May 2014): According to Beauty Geeks, the Spring 2014 collection (LE) is out now, with 7 of the 8 shades that we missed (except Chocolate Truffle) plus the return of Ginger Melon. I actually spot a display back in March but it disappeared the week after, so I guess they are in a full release now.

Revlon Super Lustrous Shine lipsticks

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

The Revlon Super Lustrous Shine lipsticks have made it to our drugstores recently, together with the new Super Lustrous glosses in the new round tubes.

Curious about the Shine finish, when I caught the new display with a 30% off sale at Lawtons last week, I grabbed 4 shades to try out :)

From L-R: 830 Rich Girl Red, 835 Berry Couture, 850 Plum Velour and 855 Foxy Lady.

Don't let the bullet colours scare you. The lipsticks wear lighter and less intense on the lips, with a shiny but semi sheer finish, quite different from the regular Super Lustrous line.

It seems sheer lip products is the new trend this summer.

Check out the watches, purposely done with about three to four swipes to show you the colours. Surprised at how they turned out? Me too!

Rich Girl Red had an orange tone, which is not really what I was after. I wanted a red, darn it! Not to say that it was a bad lipstick, just that the colour was not what I expected.

Berry Couture, appropriately, showed up as a berry pink, great for daily wear. And if you want a darker easy to wear colour, Plum Velour would be a good one. I have worn both to work at different times, loving them equally.

Foxy Lady was the darkest shade in the Shine line, turned out to be a mauvy brown with a hint of subtle bronze sheen at certain angle. The most complicated shade among these four.

You can see the sheen on Foxy Lady better in this second swatch pic below.

I still can't get over the fact that how different these dark bullets swatched, but I found myself loving the colours anyway. As long as you don't expect the bullet colours show up the same on your lips, we are good :) The whole display only had 3 testers, so I expect more surprises hidden in the colours of those I didn't pick up.

Can't deny that the shine finish is fun to wear. The lipsticks layer up nicely to the colour intensity you desire and in no way feel heavy or dry. I kinda secretly wish the line was not called Shine so I could hope for a few matte shades :)

Wear wise, I got a few hours with two swipes of the colours on my lips, on top of a lip balm. Because of their light texture, I prefer building up the lipstick colours than using a lip liner as base.

Here's a quick FOTD with me wearing Plum Velour by itself, two coats and got this colour payoff on the lips. I loved it!

Yes, it was another lazy Sunday look where I only had a wash of Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze on the lids and Essence 3D eyeshadow in Irresistible Chocolates for more depth in the crease. Plus a light layer of Revlon ColorStay foundation, and a sheered out NYX cream blush in Tea Rose.

The Revlon Super Lustrous Shine lipsticks retails around $8.99. If you try them out, let me know how the colours look on you and if you find any unique shades that I need to try :)

Have a great Monday, despite the cloudy (and maybe rainy) sky after two great days of sunshine. My holo mani looks a little sad right now lol.

NOTD: Revlon Aquamarine

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

It was a surprise when I received the second package from the Revlon Selects program.

This time, it was all nail products from the LE Runway collection:
- Chroma Chameleon nail polish in Aquamarine
- ColorStay long wear nail polish in Mocha from the Nude collection
- Nail art 3D Jewel appliques WildFlowers in Hyper Floral (18 appliques in the box).

New products are always exciting, nail or makeup. Thanks, Revlon!

This post features Revlon Chroma Chameleon nail polish in Aquamarine.

Described as a colour-shifting multi chrome finish, Aquamarine shows its lighter blue sheen stronger with direct flash, both on the nails and in the bottle. I would say the duochrome effect is there but subtle on this one. You can see the darker blue base near the edges of the nails.

This is two coats with good opacity and no application issue. It is just a tad more frosty than I would like, I always prefer metallic or even matte than frost finish.

With this angle, you see more of the darker blue colour, so yes duochrome look totally depends on lighting and how you look at it.

Aquamarine last more than 2 days on my nails, pretty good over all. I do wish the colour shift was more prominent, since I always welcome more duochromes from drugstore brands. No, there isn't enough of those in the world just yet :)

Good for Revlon to start paying more attention to what we asked for. Just a bit more duochrome "fairy dust" in there and Aquamarine could be a winner!

This was the display of the whole Chroma Chameleon line I spotted in store. 8 shades in total, each has 4 bottles. And as mentioned, they are Limited Edition.

Regular retail price is about $8.95 a piece. The sale sticker was from a few weeks ago when Lawtons had a promotion on Revlon nail polish, if you are wondering.

Colour selection is on the cool tone side, lots in gold, blue and green colour family. I kinda sorta want bolder and non traditional colour-shifting like yellow and red, blue and pink, or multichromes, if we can get to that :)

That's it for today. Thank you for your support of the May Milestones giveaway and your best wishes. Don't forget to come back to tweet daily.

The prize preferences amaze me. It shows how wide and different your interests are. I'm glad I could speak to some of that :) Have a great day!

Revlon 2013 lip butters

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Happy Monday, even when it's rainy outside :) I have for you today swatches of the Revlon 2013 lip butters I got last week, as requested.

Here are Wild Watermelon (left) and Sorbet (right). Aren't these tubes just looking lovely and inviting? lol. Not much more to comment on the argyle prints on the colour-coded packaging, and the bar code stickers which also act as a seal to avoid contamination.

Lawtons is still the only place I found the Pacific Coast display so far. The lip butters are $9.50 regularly.

I relied on the colour indication of the lids and the name stickers at the bottom of the tubes to choose these two among the 4 shades available (no testers).

In the tubes, Wild Watermelon is leaning toward red and Sorbet is toward fuchsia/ pink. And I love them both for their bright and cheerful colours.

Formula wise though, I have to note that the first few swipes during swatching felt a little drier than the regular lip butters.

Swatches, same order - Wild Watermelon on the left, Sorbet on the right.

There are enough differences in the undertone between these two colours for you to maybe justify getting both. Note that all 4 colours will be part of the permanent line in the US and Canada, so no rush to grab them.

On the lips, I'm happy to say that they feel more smooth and glided on easier, guess they need some warming up with use. I hope Revlon did not change the formula, as it was perfect to start with.

Once the excitement calmed down a bit, I kept wondering if I had seen similar colours before.

I pulled out Sweet Tart from Revlon's current lip butter line and swatched it on the right hand side of the other two. It did feel more buttery.

Yes, Sorbet and Sweet Tart are close enough that you do not need both. For that reason, I prefer Wild Watermelon but you know that Sorbet will get equal love from me. At this point, I can't confirm if Wild Watermelon is close to any other shade of lip butters as I don't own all of them :)

The other two shades from the 2013 release (Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade) I heard have less pigmentation. If the line goes on big sale, I might go ahead and grab them too, but not for now. Hope the review is helpful for those who are contemplating a purchase.

Weekend finds

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Yes, you guessed it. The biggest part of my weekend haul is Hard Candy :)

My most lemming (but not the only one) the moment I saw detailed pictures of the release was the Candy Sprinkles collection - picture from Body and Soul Beauty.

My Walmart was a little late getting the new products in, which caused me a few stalking trips around town. But it was a good thing in the sense that I could see swatches of the colours before buying. For that reason, I was successful in narrowing down to only a few shades.

I held my breath when I saw the display, silently grabbed 5 bottles then exhaled lol.

From L-R:
- Gummy Green and Sweet Tooth (Candy Sprinkles collection)
- Jubilee and Celebrate Sequins (Crystal Confetti collection) - Black Tie Optional was sold out or I would have got it too.
Yes, I knew about the bar glitters in Jubilee curling up but I couldn't help it. It was pretty and different
- Crush on Amethyst (Crushed Chromes collection).

The nail polish are CAD3.98 a piece.

Other Hard Candy products I picked up:
- All Lid Up cream eyeshadow in Purple Heart, CAD5.98
- All Glossed Up lip crayon in Love Bite, CAD4.98, and
- Shadow Dancer liquid to powder eyeshadow in Night & Day, CAD5.98.

And if you missed my note in the flyer deal post, Walmart now carries Pure Ice nail polish. I found them in an end cap display, CAD1.97 a pop.

The two shades I got are glitters, of course - Look My Way and Come Closer. Lol the names together sound like an invitation, don't they?

My main reason to go to Shoppers this weekend was the $3.99 deal on Rimmel (selected) eye and lip products.

I wanted more lipsticks from the Kate line, which turned out to be not part of the sale (only the regular Lasting Finish lipsticks are). I was just lucky because a wrong sale price sticker was put at the Kate section, and the cash had to honour it.

I bought #06 and 09 from the regular Kate line, #104 and 107 from the matte Kate line, reg. $7.99 each. I'm digging the red packaging, not that the black doesn't look great itself.

Other things on sale:
- Gosh nail polish in Girls on Film. My location seems to clear out all Gosh nail polish they have at CAD3 a pop (reg. $7). Only found one shade I liked
- Nivea lip butter in Vanilla & Macadamia, CAD2.49 this week. Canada unfortunately only gets this scent and the regular scent, not 4 like in the US, and they took a while to show up on the shelf too
- Peptalash, reg. CAD24.99 on sale for $19.99. The product got some good reviews on beauty blogs. Would this help my sad lashes? We'll see.

I have been to several Lawtons to hunt for this display, thanks to the tip of a lovely reader. It is Revlon Pacific Coast collection, which have the four new shades of lip butters that Revlon Canada confirmed we'll get.

The status of the display proves that the lip butters are for sure the heart of this collection. Only four items per shade, so if you find the display, jump on it. I don't know if the shades will become permanent after this display is gone.

Only bought Wild Watermelon and Sorbet (the two brighter shades), I tried to be good. Revlon is 20% off this week at Lawtons, so I paid $7.60 each (reg. $9.50).

Only one slot each for the baby sticks, but they offer minimal colour payoff, so I wasn't terribly sad that one was already gone. The nail polish and eyeshadow quads can wait.

I'm sorry for those who don't have a Lawtons. My hope is the display will show up at Shoppers and Walmart soon. Shoppers is offering the 25% off coupon on regular priced items tomorrow, but you have to spend $50. Otherwise, we'll count on weekend promos at Shoppers or lower retail price at Walmart.
