Another item for review from Glam Sense (under the Topbox umbrella): Lise Watier Hydraforce Hydra-Protective comforting cream ($45) with Gaspe Algae extract (the algae with high resistance against harsh environment) to promote skin's hydration and its ability to protect itself.
HydraForce is named the new Canadian line of weatherproof moisturizers, where skin is 3 times more hydrated. The comforting cream itself is very pleasant to use. A nice fresh
scent, like a typical scent of a higher end skin product. which does not
linger long.
The texture is light, almost like the cream is lightly whipped before being bottled. It absorbs quickly but does feel slightly sticky after if you run your fingers across the skin.
The brand suggests to apply the cream to the face morning and/or evening. Because of the light stickiness, I prefer to use it at night.
Lise Watier also introduces the Hydra-Detect app, with sensor (pictured above) to
measure your skin hydration during the testing period of products in the
line, quite fun to play with.
It is free to download, but you will need the hydration tool plugged in on your phone through the microphone jack, then touch the 2 little silver wing nobs to different skin areas to measure the hydration levels.
The legends for skin moisture level:
- 20-30%: dry
- 30-40%: normal
- Above 40%: hydrated
- 60%: exceptional.
I was at Shoppers once during one of the beauty galas where they had the little machine to measure skin hydration and I got pretty bad reading. This year, I have Obagi Professional-C serum and Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir to thanks, as the app showed quite positive figures even before the comforting cream.
Here are the readings on my T-zone before and after using the product:
Similarly readings for the cheek area:
I am glad to see improvement in hydration instantly, but will need at least a month to confirm the effect on the skin. The samples were sent out in waves and I received mine a lot later than most others. I will update the post down the road.
Was gonna make you guys guess what these beautiful pencils are (feel free to click to enlarge the pic), but the post tittle gave it away. So, Lise Watier 24rs Glam eyeshadows take the spot light today! :)
Heads up: The tone of this post is going to be a little dramatic, but I think these eyeshadows deserve that.
Spoiler: I was caught off guard at Lise Watier Feline collection (Fall 2014) at Shoppers, and then that surprise turned into love within 10 minutes at the counter.
Ready to dive in with me? :)
I knew the Feline collection has an eyeshadow quad that got quite a bit of raves on blogs, but hardly anyone mentioned these eyeshadows.
What they are: The 24hrs Glam eyeshadows are retractable eyeshadow
sticks that are "waterproof, no
transfer and very long lasting". Can be used as eyeshadows, liners (not recommended inside the eyes) or bases for other eyeshadows. Paraben free.
Verdict: A few swatches later, and I added 3 to my basket. They went on smoothly like butter, dried
very fast and did not smudge once set. What's even better: the swatches did not come off with a makeup wipe and some rubbing action, only did with a makeup remover.
Bonus: Colour indication at the end of the tube (true to the colour inside, down to the glitter sheen) that hides a built-in sharpener.
Another heads up: All have fine glitters either in matching colour family - Bronze Glam (golden bronze with gold glitters) and Disco Glam (purple with pink glitters) or contrast tones - Midnight Glam (black with teal glitters). They do
not feel gritty on nor bother my eyes.
Are you sold at this point, lol? Stock was already running low on certain shades, so if you want some, hurry on!
Here they are again, Bronze Glam, Disco Glam and Midnight Glam, 0.05oz/ 1.4g, $22 each.
Due to the pointed tip, the shades would need some back and forth swipes to make good coverage as eyeshadows or bases. And since they dry fast, blending work has to be done quickly. As liners, they are perfect as is.
Bronze Glam turns out to be closer to my lid colour than I thought, so go for Champagne Glam (light beige) or Satin Glam (beige with pink sheen) if you have medium/ olive skin tone like me.
I hope Lise Watier looks into making these in matte finish so they can make better bases. The price tag might hurt a little, but for the staying power, I won't complain.
While the topic is still hot, what did you get from Sephora VIB Rouge Spring Social?
I grabbed Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Mood Exposure (CAD41) and Bite Beauty Matte Creme lip crayon in Sweety, a coral pink (LE, CAD28) - I actually wanted all 6 shades in the line lol.
Sephora Sand Illusions baked eyeshadow palette was near the checkout isle, CAD18, 6 x 0.023oz (0.138oz in total). It is a better deal than the Moonshadow baked palettes (CAD33 for 0.17oz total).
Sephora Define Yourself (LE) colour eyeliner set was a steal too, CAD38 (values $72) with 5 bright eyeliners (turquoise, purple, green, gold) in waterproof formulas. I wanted to try more 12hr wear Contour eye pencils and 12hr wear Jumbo liners too, so this set came in handy!
I braved the rain Sunday morning for the event, as I wanted to do lots of swatching before buying and I am glad I did.
I would be disappointed if I went for the freebies, as they aren't that impressive. Don't feel bad if you didn't make the event :)
The stripe cosmetic bag is small, probably fits a few items for touchup during the day. The samples (6 in total) are those free ones you normally get with an online order, size wise. I don't really care for those much.
Other retailers also had some fun sales going on.
Bath and Body Works and their famous BOGO sale on all candles sucked me in. This has been the best deal on their candles so far, works out to be $22.50 for 2.
I got Market Peach and London Calling, with beautiful special edition lids. I wanted to check out the Italian collection but they didn't get them in 3-wick size yet, only a few Mason jars.
I also found the little porcelain cake pedestal to display the mini candles. It is too cute to walk pass, even with a $11 price tag. Glad I had a coupon :)
Happened to walk in a Claire's shopping event, I was excited.
This was no ordinary sale! Same 10/$10 deal but they upgraded the regular extra 50% last ticketed price (for items of reg price over $11.50) to 75%!
They also brought out about 5 times as much stuff as usual. The items were still in plastic bags (not on the shelves), which required digging and sorting, but that was part of the fun :) After the event, they packed away more than 10 boxes to send off to storage.
Squirt and I went to town. What we found, besides earrings and necklaces: a studded denim backpack, fleece-lined leggings, Conair You Lift clips, a beaded ID holder, etc. Nothing was more than $2 :)
According to staff, the event is going to be hosted about once a month for this location only (Halifax Shopping Centre, as a test run) at this point. They can add your name to the calling list for next event :)
I told you a few weeks back about the online warehouse sale at Lise Watier.
The prices were great, I got quite a few items as gifts. Can't help showing you the beautiful packaging here :)
I bought both of the Glamour Rose eyes and cheeks palettes, only $10 each (reg. $45). The pink and purple gems embedded on the glittery case killed me and the colours inside were equally pretty.
On an oil kick, I had to get the Sensationelle dry oil to try, $12 (reg. $42). The bottle would make a beautiful piece on your vanity too.
La Senza is running their sale again - $3 panties and 50% off selected bras/ sleepwear, etc. I always stock up, but don't think you need a pic of the haul lol. What goodies did you get last weekend?
A haul post dedicated to just Winners thanks to the waves of new arrivals over the last few weeks, with some brands we can't find in Canada normally.
First is Nip+Fab pistachio body sundae (200ml), $4.99, comparable at $8. I was looking all over the internet for this, was even thinking to swallow the shipping cost to get some.
And there it was just waiting for me on the shelf at Winners :) The tub is sealed, and the price was awesome, so I grabbed a few backups.
There was a bunch of First Aid Beauty products, I only bought the Ultra Repair wash (226.8g/ 8oz), $9.99, comparable at $14.
Found Maybelline Color Tattoos in Mossy Green and Rich Mahogany (the LE Fall 2012 release that Canada didn't get), $5.99 each, comparable at $8.99.
And in the black box is Guerlain eyeshadow quad in Terre Indigo (Terracotta Inca Summer 2011
collection), $29.99, comparable at $48. The surface pattern was breathtaking and the US retail price for it was actually $59, so this is definitely a
score.
Many Elizabeth Arden products came, most in plastic wraps, yay!
I couldn't pass up the beautiful packaging of the Pure Finish bronze powder in Warm Radiance (Rose
Aurora Spring/ Summer 2012 collection), $14.99, comparable at $45.
Also got the Eight Hour Cream Intensive moisturizing hand treatment (30ml) to try, $6.99, comparable at $10.
The Dual Perfection brow shaper and eyeliner in Brunette, $8.99, comparable at $24 and Color Intrigue eyeshadow in Smoke, $7.99, comparable at $23, are impulsive buys. I have to look up reviews later.
And a Canadian brand, Lise Watier, also made its appearance at Winners.
Another beautiful packaging I couldn't resist, the Glamour Rose eye and cheek palette, $19.99, comparable at $45.
From the Summer Sunset collection (with the orange and hot pink stripes) were the bronzing powder, $16.99 each, comparable at $35 and the Crystal Drops lip gloss in Dragon Fruit, $8.99, comparable at $18.
The dark square box houses the eyeshadow quartet in Les Vins, $14.99, comparable at $36. And the silver long tube is the Duo Glam lipstick duo in Pink Hibiscus, $12.99, comparable at $27.
These are all LE products from last year, for around 50% off, about the same discount in the online warehouse sale a while back. No product pics because the wraps are still on, just in case I might have to bring some back if reviews aren't looking great.
I found a new love in the world of nail polish: Lise Watier Violet Dore.
You might remember seeing it from my Super Redemption haul from Shoppers back in December when I went Lise Watier-crazy lol. The Jingle Belle collection is LE, and you might not find it anymore in store, and I'm sorry I posted about Violet Dore too late. I just forgot about it until I tried to put some of the makeup away and found it in one of the shopping bag.
This image was provided by Lise Watier, when I went nuts after seeing a blog post about the collection. I knew that I would have to have Violet Dore and knew that I would need it for my blog post lol.
The other nail colour in the collection is Rouge Braise which I didn't get. Wasn't sure the duochrome would show up well in it. These retailed CAD12 each. Now let's get on it with Violet Dore, shall we?
I'm gonna show you the picture with flash first, as usual but don't be turned down by how Violet Dore looks here, as the flash brought out too much purple and not enough gold. Take my words for it (or scroll down for more pics, lol) that it is one of the most beautiful purple colour I have owned, not mentioning the gold flash that is quite blinding under most lights.
I applied 2 coats on all nails except the ring fingernails, as I wanted to experiment the sheer look. At one coat, the polish has a jelly-like sheerness which surprised me quite a bit. In short, I like it both ways.
First pic in indirect sunlight, no flash. The purple looks a lot more subtle here, doesn't it? And this kind of purple, I can wear all the time.
This is how it looks most of the time, unless I bring my hands closer to my face. The gold sheen is very pretty as well, reminded me of the kind of flash you see in Hard Candy Mr. Wrong but a little stronger.
Wish I had a better camera with good macro shots so I can show you how pretty it is. I don't normally splurge that much for a nail polish (well, I redeemed points for it, but still...), but I totally recommend it if you can still find it at Shoppers.
And to add on the extreme beauty of this polish: its wear. I put it on Thursday night and took the next 2 pictures Monday morning. Day 4 and all I saw was very minimal tip wear. No chips, whatsoever. Can we say LOVE already?
By this time, I already went ahead and added Claire's Chunky Gold on the ring fingers as I wanted to enhance the gold sheen on it. Couldn't go anywhere (Squirt was sick, like I said in yesterday's post), so I had some time to fool around. But seriously, this is a very rare case that my mani lasted more than 3 days without any chips. $12 well spent, don't you think?
Here it is close up so you can see the tip wear, most visible on my index and middle fingers. As always, the thumb always looks the best after a few days of wear but you can't see it here lol.
So there you have it, a great nail polish from Lise Watier, a Canadian brand. I'm so proud :) They gotta make more nail polish like this one, as even at this price, I'd haul a few more, guarantee it!
If you saw my haul post (mentioned at the beginning of the post), there were 2 more Lise Watier nail polish I got as part of a gift set, both shimmery but no duochrome flash.
How's everyone doing, we're at mid week already. It is back to freezing cold around here today, -11 (-22 with windchill, and believe me, the wind here is brutal). Stay warm!
I went to my regular Shoppers on Saturday, didn't see much stuff I wanted. On Sunday, Squirt had a birthday party and I had an hour and a half to kill. Found myself at a nearby Shoppers with Beauty Boutique (which means it had a lot more department store brands with lots beauty products regular Shoppers don't carry). Next thing I know, redemption got me badly lol.
I went all Canadian with this haul, didn't intend to but ended up that way :)
I have always wanted to get myself more Lise Watier, as they have some awesome products, and they are Canadian. I was so excited to see their holiday gift sets, don't recall they had this much last year.
These are Lise Watier Glitz'n Glam LE sets, retails CAD32 (valued CAD47 if buying the items separately) each:
- Iridescent set includes a miniature Desirable EDP (7.5ml), Plumpissimo gloss in Iridescent and a nail polish in Blue Star.
- Prunelle set has the same miniature Desirable EDP (7.5ml), Plumpissimo gloss in Prunelle and a nail polish in Berry Star.
The saving wasn't great on these ($15), but Lise Watier nail polish only come out for the holiday, I couldn't pass it up. Well, that's my justification lol.
If you aren't familiar with Lise Watier, their Plumpissimo (Plumping Anti-Aging) glosses are awesome. Sorry that the boxes still have plastic wraps on, so the products don't show up very clear.
And this is a Lise Watier Glitter & Shine set in Peacock, CAD35 (valued CAD53).
It comes with a Mineral Loose Powder Eyeshadow in Folie Aqua, an Eye Shine Metallic Eye liner in Peacock and an Eye Glitter Liner also in Peacock. This gotta be my favorite set among the 3 I found in store, the beautiful shade of aqua/ turquoise is just so mesmerizing.
The 2 other Glitter & Shine sets are:
- Midnight Opale with Folie D'Opale, Silver Grey and Midnight Star (silver toned), and
- Cognac with Folie D'Or, Smokey Brown and Cognac (gold/ bronze toned).
I posted these up quickly, so you can go check them out. I love gift sets, they make good gifts for yourself or someone you love, and you save a bit of $ too.
I also picked up some Lise Watier individual products:
- 3-in-1 Miracle Primer with Diamond Lumiere Complex in Abricot, CAD35. I chose this shade as it supposedly improve dull complexions and restore a healthy glow (ideal for medium to dark skin tones).
- From Lise Watier holiday Jingle Belle LE collection: Gloss Crayon in Melon Twist, CAD18 and nail polish in Violet Dore, CAD12. This is a very pretty purple nail colour with gold duochrome. The most I've paid for a nail polish, but I used my points, so that's ok :)
Another Canadian brand, a favorite of mine: Marcelle. The line is on sale for 25% off this week.
I got:
- Marcelle AC Solution Imperfection Corrector, CAD7.79 after discount. A must have in my book, and it conveniently came in a 2-for-1 pack this time.
- Marcelle Essentials Soothing Eye makeup remover (with bonus Climatik Outdoor Protective Cream SPF30), CAD8.99.
Don't you love bonus packs on sale?
There was a gala going on in store at the time, brand reps and MUAs were there doing their things. The lady gave me some free gift for my Marcelle purchase.
First gift is a Marcelle box with 4 products in it:
- Lace Eyeshadow Trio in Azure Blue
- Lace Duo Face Powder in Mademoiselle
- Lux Gloss in Pearl, and
- New Age Comforting Foaming Cleanser (50ml).
The second gift is Marcelle Essentials Soothing Cleansing Water, on the far right. I have been meaning to pick this up, what could be better if I get it for free :)
I didn't do too badly, did I? All the good things gather that day: redemption with super bonus value, sale, bonus packs and free gifts :) If I didn't have to rush back to pick up Squirt, I might do more damage with Benefit and CoverFX. Maybe next time.
If you redeemed last weekend, tell me what you picked up. And those of you lucky ladies who live near the Shoppers that carries Urban Decay, you must have had a blast exchange your points for some goodies. Shoppers needs to hurry up bringing this brand out to more stores already. For now, I have so much to test out and review. It's gonna take a while :)
First off, MAC. We all know MAC started out in Canada, but since then, it has grown so much to become an international brand. I don't think I need to say anything about MAC, but for the purpose of this post, MAC has to be here to start the show.
Thanks to the popularity of Shoppers and Sephora, you all probably knew and heard about CoverFX already. One of its best products is the Total Coverage Cream Foundation SPF30 which provides good coverage while not being heavy or oily on the skin. My favorite product from CoverFX, however, is the Lip Treatment & Tinted Lustre SPF15 (in the picture) which unfortunately has been discontinued. It comes in a silver dual-ended tube, the lip treament is to moisturize and prime the lips, and the lip tint will add a sheer hint of colour on top. I like the idea of them being separated, as when I want a bit more colour, I could just add it on top of the lip treatment and skip the tint. And as a bonus, it smells good too. I have one in the office, for touch up during the day and it works wonder.
I grabbed most of the shades I liked last time the product was cleared out at Shoppers. I'm so glad I did. It is now replaced by MintGlazeFX, a fortifying lip primer SPF15.
Price-wise, CoverFX is a higher end brand - e.g. the Lip Treatment & Tint was CAD24. I was lucky to win a ClearPrep FX on twitter from CoverFX. It's a matte foundation primer plus the anti-acne treatment. Just like the Lip Treatment above, it serves 2 purpose in 1 tube. Review to come, depending on how fast I am finishing the current primer.
Another proud Canadian brand is Cargo with catchy motto "Be-you-tiful" and the well known eco-friendly Plant Love line . The packaging is so cute, the shades are paired with celebrities or places with ecology beauty. And part of the sales is to support good cause, which I thought was so cool.
Cargo released its latest Blu-ray collection a while back. I quite like the lip gloss palette and the blushes/ highlighters. The colours are very fun to play with. However, they have been quiet lately, I haven't heard any new product announcement from them. Cargo products is in the mid-range of cost as well.
There is only one place here that I can come and see Cargo goodies in person - Mills. But I am always kinda intimidated walking in stores like that, so I haven't been back for a while, lol.
Annabelle is a re-discovered brand to me, as I see its products at Shoppers all the time but never picked up anything. The shelf was boring, nothing new, and I never heard anybody mentioning them. Until recently with their youtube competition and the launch of the custom quads with mono shadows, I am more interested in checking them out. I have purchased a few quads, as you have seen on this blog, and am quite happy with them.
The news on youtube is that Annabelle is going to release the new Studio collection in August 16, with 6 bright pigments at CAD8.50. I'm so there to check them out!
Marcelle is a sister brand of Annabelle, used to be known more for its skincare products than makeup. Recently, they came out with a few makeup collections that caught my attention. The Aquatik collection was very interesting, plus the added effect of the Horizon Bronzing Pressed Powder (in the picture), and the Colour Cube Powders - Multi-Blush. These products are of good size and the price is quite reasonable. The bronzer is CAD16, and it's huge (18gr) - probably the biggest bronzer I have seen around. Just for comparison purpose, MAC's MSFs are CAD32.50 for 10gr of product.
I have to say they have done a decent job to gain back some popularity in the community. I always feel happy walking in a drugstore and see new product displays, as they prove that the brands are doing their job to entertain the makeup crowd. The isle needs to look sparkly new and interesting!
Quo is the makeup home brand of Shoppers and is not available outside the stores. It currently shares the website with Shoppers which is not necessary a good thing. New products haven't been promoted, even a few regular products aren't on the site either. For this reason, I have to browse the isle to be in the known if Quo has new products or promotions.
Quo makeup is of decent quality and nice/ simple packaging. Their brushes are probably their best sellers as they have received good reviews from users. I do hope the brand gets more publicity, at least has its own website and proper media image promotion, as it deserves it.
The last brand is Inglot, a Polish makeup brand, but has established a network of stores in Canada way before coming to the US, so I thought I should include it. I have a hard time looking for information about this brand, as the Inglot Canada website only listed 5 stores in Quebec with no product information, and the Inglot Australia site is under construction. But... I found a great youtube video from JustMakeUpYourMind that shows you all about Inglot, for your viewing pleasure.
Don't you want to go shopping after seeing the pictures? As Inglot made its way to the US with its very first store opened about a month ago in NY, the feedbacks from bloggers has been very positive. Prices are comparable to MAC as well: their shadows are $13 and lipsticks $12. I will definitely come to a store if I'm travelling anywhere near one.
EDIT TO ADD: Beauté Cosmetics is a new-to-me brand but has been popping up in a few blog posts from some blogs I frequent. The product stands out the most is the Luminous Volume Gloss with shiny, creamy texture plus plumping effect. Based on an interview that ThisThatBeaty did with Beau Nelson - Beauté's Creative Director, among the Luminous Volume Glosses (retail CAD26), Heroine (in the picture) is the YLBB (Your lips but better) universal shade, and the best seller is the Liqui-Gel Stain in Flouron (CAD29).
Beauté products are available on their website, Holt Renfrew (which we don't have around here), some salons in Alberta, and a few shops in the US. I couldn't find info about shipping cost, and haven't shopped with them before, so I can't comment about that, but at least I'm glad that there is an option if I do one day decide to try their products.
3 more brands to add, thanks to the lovely Michelle and Naomi: I can't believe I left Lise Watier out. I have been lemming the Sea Belle collection display at Shoppers when it was first released. Probably because they are a higher end brand, I don't come to their conner often enough.
Although the dominant colour of this collection is blue (as it is Under the Sea theme), I like the Beach quad (in the picture, CAD35) better as it features a variety of fun shades while the Lagoon quad only has blue. But the blue packaging is obviously catchy.
One of their best sellers is the Professional Correctors porfolio (CAD29) with 5 different shades in 1 wheel, infused with vitamins and chamomille. I can't say how well it works, as I haven't tried it. I might go to the counter to try it out.
Vasanti Cosmetics is a Canadian owned and operated brand (see the comments below). I'm certainly drawn to their shadows and pigments first. The shadows (CAD15) are named after famous cities around the world. In the picture is the new "Montreal", described as a purple with hints of two-toned blue shimmer, very tempting to me.
The shimmer powders (CAD14) has some bright shades that I certainly like to try. There's "Solar Flare" which is a Pale golden yellow, might satisfy my crave for yellow shades.
According to the locations on their site, the brand has made it to one Shoppers here, so I'll go check it out. Online shopping is available with shipping between CAD7 and CAD9.75. International customers could contact Customer Service before ordering. Vasanti does have a US website and a UK website as well.
This third brand, Balmshell is totally new to me, as I have never heard of it before. According to their website, they currently only have lip and cheek products.
I like the look of the Lip-gloss in "Confession of a Call girl" (in the picture, CAD20) the most, as it is described as a sheer hot orange and I believe coral/orange shades look better with my skin tone. Their Smear Campaign stains (CAD20) are gorgeous too. They are available at Shoppers and Mills here. It's just funny I haven't known about it until today.
SECOND EDIT TO ADD: Thanks to Julie :-)
I have come across FACEatelier a couple times but didn't remember it at the time of this post. The products remind me of MAC, just by the look of them, especially the shadows (CAD17 each) and palettes ($9 for 4-pan palette and $18 for 12-pan one). This is out of my range already, they are even more costly than MAC.
In the picture is the Eye shimmer in Pink Glaze(CAD19), a cute pink shade. It's ok to look, right? lol.
I have seen Nacara once, at a Shoppers that I don't normally go to, and it's not the same one that carries Vasanti above. Lol, is Shoppers playing games with me or what? Can't they just all carry the same stuff? Their website said they are at some Walmarts as well, hmm...
Does this little wheel looks pretty to you? It's their Custom Corrector.
Straight from the website: Which to use when: Dark Brown: Hides dark circles and imperfections Medium Brown: Corrects areas that lack pigment Light Brown: Corrects areas that lack pigment Orange: Illuminates skin Yellow: Conceals redness or blemishes
I will have to go to that Shoppers to test out this concealer wheel and check the brand's price range as well. If it works, it might help me to save some $ as an alternative to Lise Watier's portfolio. Hopefully!
Nacara only has 6 shades of eyeshadows right now, named after exotic birds. Quetzal sounds like a great bird, lol. Creative, don't you think?
One last brand I just remember seeing at Walmart, with a little display shying away from the big brands - Indulge Cosmetics. There has been no promotions on this brand, and it never made it to Walmart flyers. It is interesting to know that this brand is available at Walmart in Canada and Dollar Tree in the US. Reasonable pricing?
I actually noticed this brand through a Canadian nail polish blog - Deez Nailz. Check out her gorgeous Indulge polish swatches. These bottles might be mine next time I am looking for new nail colours to wear. FYI, they come in sets of 3 as they are a lot smaller than regular sized bottles.
THIRD EDIT TO ADD: Thanks to Cherz...master Joe Fresh Beauty is the lastest creation of Joe Mimran, creative director of Joe Fresh. The brand is housed in Loblaws store (a groceries chain) around the country (here in the East coast, the stores are called Atlantic Superstore). I remember all the buzz when Joe Fresh announced their makeup line. People kept checking the store for product display, complained when they didn't see it, and intrique when they finally did.
Surprisingly their eye products didn't cath my attention as much as the face products did. In the picture is the Cheek Tint in Cherry, at the bottom are Nude and Pink shades. I swatched them in store and quite liked them. Creamy and easy to apply. Right now they have 6 shades, I'm torned between Peach and Pink.
Besides makeup, the line also includes brushes and accessories. The 4-sided display is always fun to look at. Stocks, however, vary in stores, so it does take a bit of time to hunt down the shelf that has the shade(s) I wanted to test out. Due to my overgrowing stash, I haven't picked up any of these babies, but glad to see another Canadian brand showed up in stores. Yet again, I forgot to include it in this post until getting a comment, lol.
FOURTH EDIT TO ADD: Thanks to Revolution themselves I was lemming over these Freedom Lip Glosses from Revolution for their chic look and fun colour selection the first time I saw it on a blog post. Organic lipsticks with vitamins and antioxidants plus green packaging, how much more fun could it be? "Guilt-free Glam", as they said it.
I'm voting for Integrity in the middle, described as a shimmering golden rose colour, but also like the daring Vibe with its peachy colour, CAD29.
Revolution also has Freedom Glow Beauty Balms (CAD37) that could work as blush, lipstick, bronzer, and eyeshadow. Multi-tasking products are love, aren't they?
