Clarisonic Mia

Woo hoo, I am now a proud Clarisonic owner.

The bf surprised me with this beautiful Clarisonic Mia as a Christmas present. I never mentioned it with him, as I know he didn't have a passion about beauty products like I do, lol. As as it is a costly item, I never thought about getting one myself. Turned out he heard about it from his mom (she loved her Mia) and thought I could put one in good use. How sweet!

I love Mia as she's smaller and comes with a worldwide-compatible charger, great for travel. The 3 cleansers offered is a bit of a waste though. I could use the Gentle Hydro (all skin types, including sensitive skin) or Refreshing Gel (normal to oily/ problem skin) but don't think I would touch the Nourishing Care (normal to dry skin) as it doesn't work for my skin type. I'd rather have a bigger size of one single cleanser that works for me, wouldn't you?

Although Clarisonic recommends to use the brush twice a day everyday, but I don't want to overwork my skin. After Accutane, I'm pretty careful about what I do with my face and will probably use my Mia every 2-3 days. I had a facial today, and the lady skipped the massage part of the process, as she said Accutane has made my skin thinner and she wanted to hold off the massage for a few months later. And I agree. Accutane saved my face, but the maintenance stage is quite lengthy and painful, to be honest :-)

Do you own a Clarisonic? What do you think about it?

  1. I don't, but I totally want one!

  2. I got one for xmas from my bf too! ahahah I agree with you, I like the Mia more as it is more compact and easy to travel with.

I only use it once a day in the morning and I have noticed a difference with my feels more soft :)

Overall, very happy with the Clarisonic Mia! ^_^

  3. I own one, the regular pink Clarisonic. I'm not sure what to think of it if I'm honest. The main reason I wanted to get it was to clear my skin and get rid of dry patches that occur due to the winter. For the first month, it flared up my skin and I had to cut my bangs back in. Now it's finally started to clear up by changing the cleanser - after trying about 5, I finally use Philosophys one; when I went to Sephora the lady explained that it's cleaning it fully for the first time. Although I still have no moisturizer that can make up for the Clarisonic not getting rid of dry patches. I've heard the wonder stories too and I'm still keeping an eye on the end of my return policy so I could return it should it still show no real results.

On the plus side it feels cleaner, and I wash my face the two times which doesn't seem to aggravate it now that I'm a month in.

Best of luck to you though, I really hope it works for you

  4. How sweet of your boyfriend, he sounds like a keeper! :)

I don't have the Clarisonic, but I've been wanting one for a while. The steep price tag is what is holding me back. I've heard a lot of great things though, hopefully you like it! I'd love to hear about what you think of it after using it for a while too!

  5. Thanks for the feedback, ladies.

Missmicchan, great to know Mia worked for you. Hope mine does too :-)

    Abby, I do too. Thanks

So Very Fabulous, he is a keeper, lol. I'll do up a follow up once I use Mia long enough
