If you remember, Yves Rocher had a great Summer 2014 makeup collection out back in June. But it is exciting that summer does not end there :)
There are two Yves Rocher bath and body products available now. Pretty colours, cool scents, let's dive in!
On the left is the exfoliating shower gel in Organic Raspberry, and on the right is the beautifying dry oil.
I was glad Yves Rocher joins the dry oil trend, the more the merrier. I am happy to remain on the band wagon with oils for hair, face and body, and oils to remove my makeup :)
Can't help it, gotta tell you right away about the beautifying dry oil.
The key oil is from Andiroba nuts in Brazil, highly concentrated in Omega 9 with nourishing properties. Even better, the dry oil has 99% natural ingredients, no preservatives/ parabens/ mineral oil.
The oil feels great on the skin at application and even the next morning. It leaves almost nothing after it absorbs except the smooth feeling and a nice subtle scent. I have become addicted to applying it after every shower, and sometimes before bed. The pump produces a burst of fine mist, making the oil easier to rub in, less messy.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Palmitate, Octyldodecanol, Coco-Caprylate/ Caprate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Hexyldecanol, Hexyldecyl Laurate, Carapa Guaianensis Seed oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed oil, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT.
The bottle has 3.3oz/ 100ml spray bottle, $20, on sale for $11 (45% off) right now. For the body, 100ml might be gone more quickly than I want, with the speed I am using it at lol.
The exfoliating shower gel is not a new concept but is great to accompany the dry oil above. A gentle daily scrub that smells fruity, tangy and sweet :)
The formula has organic raspberry extract, kiwi seeds, apricot kernel powder with a botanical cleansing base. So yeah, 100% natural fruit seeds, over 98% natural ingredients, easily biodegradable formula, parabens free.
I find the particles are fine and gentle enough on the body and I can use lighter hand if need to with more sensitive areas. A little warning on the bottle says to avoid using the shower gel on damaged or irritated skin, which makes sense.
Ingredients: Water, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Decyl Glucoside, Acrylates Crosspolymer-4, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Cocamide Mipa, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed powder, Sodium Benzoate, etc.
The tube has 6.7oz/ 200ml, retails for $9. The line also has Blackberry and Organic Vanilla.
Here is to show you the textures of the dry oil (almost invisible here) and shower gel.
Needless to say, I recommend the beautifying dry oi, if you are looking for a body oil/ moisturizer. The Organic Raspberry shower gel is great for people who want to use (scented) organic bath products.
