NOTD: L'Oreal Cockatoo's Mystery

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

Posts might be once again sporadic this week. A super nice/ hot weekend and Squirt finishing off the school year have kept me out of the house most of the time. We have a short week in Canada (Canada Day) and in the US (July 4) too. So let's enjoy this good weather while it lasts right? :)

This was a work NOTD with L'Oreal Cockatoo's Mystery from the 2011 Project Runway collection.

Now checking back my posts, Canada did get this shade (not the whole Project Runway collection) that year. I didn't have it then until I bought a few nail polish from a blog sale.

Cockatoo's Mystery is a greyish taupe, for some reason was calling my name now. Our nail polish taste does change with time, doesn't it?

I added L'Oreal Silver Sparkle from the Gold or Nothing At All collection (Summer 2012, see the bottle shot below, also from the blog sale) on most of the nails.

Silver Sparkle has iridescent and gold glitters in a sheer off-white base, looks more sparkly IRL. Can't recall if Canada had this one, I'm glad to own it anyway.

Here is the closeup for ya :)

I have been a little lagging in makeup hauling. That is because Beyond the Rack has got all my money with everything from shoes, clothes to household items, while Shoppers has fallen off the favorite list - stocking up new stuff was slow, giving me a hard time returning something I redeemed points for, etc.

Life wise, my pool is still not open (scheduling issue) so we have been hanging out around town instead of at home. We'll be out again tomorrow, with a late fireworks show, don't know how much spirit I'd have Wednesday coming back to work.

Have a great week and party on!

  2. I'd forgotten about Silver Sparkle--I loved that one so much when it first came out but of course got distracted by newer pretties. I should find my bottle and get to layering with it again.

    1. Isn't it always the case with us: Always get distracted with new colours :)
