It has been raining all week, and I have about enough. Saw this saying "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" in a book I was reading, and my mind wandered. Rain will do that to you!
Anyway, I have a beauty to show you today - Essence Sun Club nail polish in BBC Splash Refresh.
This is not a typical Essence line, as the bottle is bigger (0.37oz/ 11ml). If all Sun Club shades are this great, I want the whole line. No sign of it at Shoppers just yet though, unfortunately.
BBC Splash Refresh would fit right in the craze about bright colours this spring/ summer, don't you think?
I am indifferent about seasonal colour trends, as I don't really care what time of year it is to pull out a colour to wear. But I do care how a colour reflects my mood and feelings at a particular point of time. Colour therapy works too, bright colours cheer you up faster, pastel colours calm you down.
Maybe that's why makeup and nail polish are so addictive.
Back to the nail polish. Don't want to sound too biased here (cause I like Essence nail polish), but this Sun Club is awesome, smooth application and great colour payoff. I did 2 coats here, you can do 3 if you want to. I was going to attempt some nail art on top of it but decided not to at the last minute. It looks great enough to be left alone :)
Before I forgot, the winner of my Blog Anniversary giveaway was randomly picked by Murale (Shannon from BC) and she already received her prize. Thanks for all of you who entered.

Is the weather always this rainy in June for Halifax? I only arrived here late July last year. :/
ReplyDeleteAlso- that colour is amazing. I can't wait to see what the rest of polishes look like! :)
I can't remember what last year was like, but we do get a lot of rain :( That way, we appreciate the sun more (like today) eh?
DeleteDid I miss it? Did you say where you found this little gem?
ReplyDeleteIt was an extra in a CP from Europe, unfortunately. I don't know if the Sun Club line is LE there either, might be harder to find now
Deleteaw I wish essence would release more of their line in canada... what a lovely polish!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we need more Essence for sure, the core nail polish line is hardly enough
