Very first appearance of a Butter London nail polish in this blog, yay! Been hearing a lot about this brand but never owned a shade, I was excited to be sent some shades for review.
This is Butter London Knackered from the Spring/ Summer collection. Interesting bottle shape, space saving but hard to hold for pics lol. It took me a while to figure out how to open it too.
Knackered is a very sheer duochrome pale lilac shade with multi-coloured micro glitters that are visible at certain light angle.
I painted Knackered on my thumb by itself, 3 coats just to show you how sheer it is. It is, however, brilliant when layered.
The bases that contribute to the Knackered's glory are Essence Kings of Mints (from the You Rock collection) on my 3 nails and L'Oreal 735 Black Gold (from the Resist & Shine Titanium line) on my ring finger.
Compare to the bottle colour, Kings of Mints (a mint green) with Knackered on top looks more teal on the nails, with a strong lilac sheen. Black Gold (a black) now looks like a dark purple. I am loving Knackered as a top coat.
See the multi-coloured glitters here? It looks like a glitter party in the bottle. Application was great, I used 2 coats here.
Butter London is now available at Nail Polish Canada for 17 a piece, with $5 flat rate shipping or free with orders of $29 or more for Canadians. Not a drugstore price range, I know, but the brand does have some unique and great shades to offer.
There's a contest going on right now on Nail Polish Canada to win the whole Spring/ Summer collection. The winner is announced on April 15, so go enter, and good luck!
