Sparkled Beauty

This is the second nail polish in Claire's "Venomous Villains" dupes: Poison Apple.

I showed you Evil Queen back in January, saying it wasn't a close dupe. Poison Apple is unfortunately in the same boat, as the beautiful gold sheen in the bottle didn't really transfer to the nails. Also the same case is that it is a pretty colour as Evil Queen, but should just represent itself, not a dupe of anything else.

A deep dark red, with random gold flash here and there, I wouldn't say no to that.

Still have no luck finding Venomous, supposedly the closer dupe to MAC than these 2 shades, so I guess these will do for now.

You might ask about the glitters on my accent nails. It is Funky Fingers Icicle Lights that I was lucky to get through a swap. Funky Fingers is the home brand at Five Below stores in certain states in the US.

If you say this shade looks familiar, I'd give you brownie points, as it is the exact dupe of the one and only - OPI Mad as a Hatter :) I didn't fall hard for glitters back when it was released, especially because OPI isn't cheap, so I'm glad I own Icicle Lights now.

My future investment for the blog would be a light box and a SLR camera of some sort for macro function. My camera drives me nuts not being able to focus better for close up pics. Just don't know when that would happen lol.

Hope everyone has a good half of the week. I heard that spring this year is supposed to be colder than normal, like we haven't had enough of that in the winter. No point to complain anymore, so I'll keep my positive thoughts in some (hopefully) feasible plans of travelling.
