Also new at The Body Shop this season are the new black and white matte Kajal liners.
When I received these Kajal liners, I took a liking to the easy-to-grip pen format. The kajal itself, however, cannot be sharpened (see below) nor swiveled up for more product, so the trick, I was told, is to line with the side of the tip.
Formula wise, they are enriched with Community Fair Trade beeswax, aiming for good colour payoff, blendability and pigmentation.
The black Kajal is to define your eyes - fine strokes for a soft look or smudged for for a smoky look.
The white Kajal is meant to work the inner corner of your eyes, waterline and lower lash line to give you that fresh, awake look.
I would suggest using these Kajal liners with a smudger brush on the lash line though. I find them smudging too fast on the waterline. Also, depending on your skin tone, white liner on the waterline might be more harsh than a nude.
They swatch very well on my hand, and the matte finish is awesome.
I really like the white. I think this is the first review I've read that's more positive than negative. They do look interesting.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are picky products, depending on what you use them for :)
