Hi guys, happy Monday! I am at a conference for a few days, so posts might be up late. I just have to sneak in the time to edit :)
Continuing the bright summer lip theme, I have 2 new lip products from Sephora today. As you might have seen in my haul, I got a Sephora Rouge Cream lipstick ($15.50) and a Luster matte long wear lip colour ($20). Was trying to branch out outside the popular hot pinks and reds, but it was not easy.
I ordered Hot Bikini, thinking it was a violet colour as described on the site, and Mulberry Luster assuming it was a dark plum lol.
They didn't turn out to be what I thought :)
Hot Bikini is a fuchsia, part of Sephora Collection Escape to Rio collection. There was the on trend Flamingo and Cougar, and a coral shade called Samba, so I thought violet sounded good. But no... :) Still, it is a nice colour with good pigmentation. I can't complain.
Mulberry Luster is a berry red. As you see in the swatches below, it was only semi-matte. Comfortable to wear (but not to the level of Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet), last reasonable amount of time. Pigmentation is slightly better than Bourjois though, I did not have to layer.
Swatches of Hot Bikini (left) and Mulberry Luster (right) in different lighting.
Check out a FOTD I did with Mulberry Luster.
