FOTD: Essence 3D eyeshadows

Posted by Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty

This is a look I wore in the weekend with two Essence 3D eyeshadows - Irresistible Caramel Cream and Irresistible Purr-ple. One neutral, one colourful, we can make the best of both worlds :)

On the face:
- Moisturizer: Yves Rocher Anti-age Global day cream and eye cream
- Primer: Annabelle CC Instant Perfecting base in Luminous finish
- Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind the Eraser Dark Spot treatment corrector in Light/ Medium
- Foundation: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind the Perfector powder in Light/ Medium
- Brow liner: Annabelle Skinny brow liner in Universal Medium
- Blush: The Body Shop blush trio in Warm Sunset
- Lips: Quo Jumbo lipgloss stick in Nectar.

I was experimenting with skipping liquid foundation and going with only powder and concealer. Flaws were more visible, as expected :)

On the eyes:
- Eye base: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink
- Eyeshadows: from Irresistible Caramel Cream - champagne as brow bone highlight and warm brown as transition colour, from Irresistible Purr-ple - silver in the inner half, purple in the outer half
- Eye liners: Sephora + Pantone Universe Foiled waterproof eyeliner in Purple and Annabelle Smudgeliner in Foxy Grey
- Mascara: L'Oreal Double Extend mascara with Lash Boosting serum in Blackest Black.

Like I mentioned in the review, I love the purple with teal shimmers in Irresistible Purr-ple, so I didn't mind spending a bit of time building it for intensity. If you are in a rush, I would not recommend it. Irresistible Caramel Cream is easier to work with and blend well too.

I enjoyed pairing these two duos together. They support each other well, colour wise, like a good quad. I secretly wish that we had a different colour than silver in Irresistible Purr-ple though :) I'll definitely play around more with the other duos.

Lasting power wise, some fading did happen after about 5-6 hours of wear, with a base (see above). However, at the end of the day when I took off the makeup, the eyes still looked presentable. So I'll say again, the neutrals win in this set of products :)

It was freezing yesterday, felt like another April Fool's joke.
I couldn't be happier to get home to stay in the warmth and even went to bed early, ignoring daily chores. Hope things are going well at your end.
