Ahhh Jane Cosmetics, it has been a while!
Since the brand went into revamp and then relaunch, Canada has not seen it at all. The new products they offer in the US received quite some raves and I have to check them out myself.
Also from the 40% off sale at Ulta, I finally got 2 shimmer eyeshadows (reg. $8 each) and a water resistant eyeliner (reg. $6) in my greedy hands.
The price range and colour selections are nice, and packaging is standard, with added embellishments.
I chose the water resistant eyeliner in Rose Gold, since I am still on the rose gold everything trend, and thought it would make a nice water line liner.
And it is, nice colour pigmentation (though leaning more toward taupe than rose gold) and does not budge after it sets.
Jasmin is an iridescent white eyeshadow with shimmers, a little soft to the touch of a brush. I have been enjoying it in inner corner and brow bone.
Earth, described as a deep mahogany copper but to my eyes is a dark brown with a hint of red tone, definitely will grace the crease and outer V areas.
Both eyeshadows are pigmented and easy to blend. Earth is more firm and gives no fallout. I do enjoy these but wish they come in a pan form, or a fill-your-own-palette type of format, cause I want more colours :)
Here are the watches with different lighting angles, in the same order:
I would definitely explore some more if I am near an Ulta. Check out the FOTD I did with all these 3 products.

I saw these at Ulta a while back and was SO CONFUSED. Last time I saw jane was in Walmart and it was closer to Wet n Wild prices... At least it looks like they still have the quality, just not thrilled with the massive price hike. :(
ReplyDeleteI guess the whole brand concept was changed so they could justify a new price strategy but yeah, wish it were like before, don't we?
